The Colombian Cultural Association makes a formal invitation to all students in our community who are in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 during the 2017-2018 school year to participate in the Pathways to Health and Science Education Program.
This program is presented by the Colombian Cultural Association in conjunction with St. Luke’s College of Health Sciences to bring educational programs to our community.
Pathways to Health and Science Program is completely FREE and designed for those students who are interested in exploring a career in the field of health sciences. It will be held between September 2017 and May 2018 and consists of 7 workshops in which various topics will be presented, all related to health, and in which students will conduct scientific research under the tutoring of a faculty member of St. Luke’s College.
The program will also have 3 workshops designed especially for the parents of the participating students. These workshops will deal with issues related to the enrollment process, the program, and legal topics of interest.
The program will conclude with a science fair in which students will have the opportunity to present the results of their research during the year and compete for a prize awarded by St. Luke’s College.
Those participants who successfully complete the program will receive 3 hours of university student credit transferable to various universities in the region.
